About This Campaign
The largest food drive in the state of Iowa, Star 102.5’s Combat Hunger raised more than 250,000 meals for Iowans in need in 2019. Join us as we continue to make a difference for Iowans in need!
Star 102.5 started Combat Hunger 30 years ago with one mission: help the Food Bank of Iowa provide meals for Iowans in need. Since then, Combat Hunger has provided millions of meals through the downtown encampment and food drives all across Central Iowa.
Use this virtual food drive to stretch your dollar by donating funds toward the purchase of meals at the Food Bank of Iowa!

Dedication In Memory of: Russell William DavisAs general manager of Foodprairie Ag USA (Foodprairie LLC), for 32 years we have been privately sourcing land for investors that truly want to take care of our earth all while we supply national brands of seed corn and seed beans to our farmers farming those farms, developing relationships in 40 states and providing those seeds at below wholesale prices so these dynamic farmers can supply quality food to the world and make a living in hopes their families may have every opportunity possible in life to learn and give back to this great country my grandfather “I am named after“ died for in World War II. We are a land of many differences and many different colors, but one thing we all have in common is our patriotic and proud souls that make us all Americans. Rather than fight to tear down and destroy each other‘s possessions we should all step back and strip our souls, then look at each other and walk together through this thing we call life. Trust me life is short, and fighting is way overrated, I select to love our land and our people. No matter whether they worship God or the book of science you are all human beings and you all have the ability to make great choices in your lifetime and help others. Peace for all in life = prosperity. Since the inception of the family business I have never drawn a salary, I donate my time for the passion. Please help feed those in need. Russell Mitchell -
